Arrive relaxed at the Schönbrunn Palace Easter Market. Whether sustainable and stress-free by public transport, comfortable by car, sporty by bike or in a group by coach - find out about the travel options and experience the colorful market hustle and bustle in front of Schönbrunn Palace.

The Panoramabahn runs daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the large Schlosspark circuit. You can find the detailed timetable here. There is also a new e-shuttle, which starts at the Arrival Center. For the transfer between the Schönbrunn Palace Easter Market and the Hietzinger Tor, there are also reduced tickets for Easter Market visitors: children € 1,50 and adults € 3,00.

By public transport

The most environmentally friendly, stress-free and comfortable way to get to Schönbrunn is by public transport (Wiener Linien).  

Parking and route

By car

For visitors who arriving by car can park in the APCOA car park. The Easter Market and Schönbrunn Palace can be reached quickly from the parking lot (short walk). Electric charging stations are also available.

  • APCOA car park at the Schönbrunn Visitor Centre (opposite Schönbrunn Palace)
  • Schlossallee Schönbrunn Garage (Schönbrunn Palace: 5 minutes)
  • For persons with special needs there are three parking spaces (disabled parking) in front of the Schönbrunn main gate.

Arrival and rules

For bicycle / Scooter / E-Scooter

A cycle path leads up to Schönbrunn main gate. Bicycles can be parked in front of the main gate.
Rented e-scooters are also very popular in Vienna. An all-year rental station is situated in front of the Palace.

Please note that dogs, bicycles and scooters are not allowed inside Schönbrunn park.


Parking and route

For groups with buses

Buses can park 24/7 for a fee in the APCOA Schönbrunn coach park around the clock, seven days a week directly on site. From the parking lot you can easily reach the palace as well as the Easter Market and other sights.

Where is the Easter market?

The Easter Market will take place in front of Schönbrunn Palace at the Ehrenhof. The address is:

What is the best way to get to the Easter market?

When is the Easter market open?

The Easter Market Schloss Schönbrunn will take place from 16 March to 2 April 2024. Opening hours are daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Can I go to the Easter Market in a wheelchair?

Yes, you can access the Easter Market barrier-free. At the main gate (Schönbrunner Schloßstraße) there are three parking spaces for people with special needs.

Assistance dogs are allowed.

Barrier-free toilets can be found in the Visitor Centre to the left of the main gate and in the entrance hall to the Palace.

Are dogs allowed at the Easter Market?

No. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to bring your dog to the Easter Market, as dogs are prohibited throughout Schönbrunn.

As an exception, assistance dogs are allowed.

Are bicycles or scooters allowed to the Easter Market?

No. You may not bring your bicycle or scooter to the Easter Market, as they are prohibited throughout Schönbrunn.

If you arrive by bike, you can park it in front of the main gate, Meidlinger Tor or Hietzinger Tor, at one of the designated places.

When can I register my group for the Easter Bunny Workshop?

Registration for the Easter Bunny Workshop is required only for groups of 5 children or more. Registration for the Easter Bunny Workshop is possible from the beginning of February.
